Our location
We are located in the center of the revitalized downtown district. Go for a stroll through the main plazas and boulevards and visit San José’s iconic landmarks, galleries, and museums and explore on foot the city’s colorful sights, sounds and energy.
You will also be steps away from some of our favorite local hangouts as well – bars, restaurants, and nightclubs that make up the pulse of our people, the source of our scene. (And to find supermarkets, banks, ATMs and pharmacies, all you have to do is ask and we will point you in the right direction!).
San José by day
Just a few steps from Hotel Presidente, tour the Museum of Pre-Columbian Gold and the Jade Museum, underneath the Plaza de la Cultura and next to the National Museum. You can also unwind in one of the city’s numerous parks, bird-watching at Parque España, at the unusual bandstand at Parque Central, or attending a concert at Parque Morazán or visit famous places of worship like the Iglesia de la Merced, with beautiful stained glass and works of art, the striking Catedral Metropolitana or the Iglesia de la Soledad.
